January - March 2017
An opposition between Jupiter and Uranus during this period suggests a time of revolutionary and iconoclastic thoughts and actions! At the time of writing this seems only too likely; however, the Saturn-Uranus trine (see above) will help to make it less reckless in its effects.
What it is really about is the need to balance the desire to move forward in a revolutionary, new-age way (Uranus in Aries) with the need for fairness and justice to all (Jupiter in Libra). Shall we swing wildly back and forth between extremes or can we be mature enough to reach a sensible compromise? Not surprisingly we shall probably see this working out mainly on the world stage, politically, but it does also apply to anyone and everyone in some way.
A solar eclipse at the end of February stimulates the Jupiter-Uranus opposition and is also close to Neptune, so there may be something of a ‘silly season’ for a while, with unrealistic expectations on the part of many of us. Mars is exactly conjunct Uranus at this time, intensifying this. What this could be about, if we rise to the occasion, is vision, seeing what we need to do to make a better future. It would be foolish, however, not to expect some chaotic conditions and also some major ideas and actions which are devoid of common sense. As always, a strong Saturn is the best antidote!
